BOX 4~ June 22, 2~ Cody Boren 925 Warren Court Coppell, Texas 75019 RE: Boren Addition Letter of Map Revision Case # 00-06-889A Dear Mr. Boren: This letter is written in response to the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) from FEMA dated May 15, 2000 and the limits of the floodplain and floodway shown on the Boren Addition plat as recently submitted to the City of Coppell. Please refer to Section 6 of your LOMR from FEMA, which states "FEMA is currently revising the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) maps for Dallas County" and "when the new NFIP map is issued it will supercede this determination." The preliminary revised maps are in the City Engineers' office at the City of Coppell. The appeal period for the maps has come and gone and the maps could be approved at any time. Once the preliminary maps are approved please be advised that tract 2 on your LOMR will once again be shown within a floodway. At that time, you will not be allowed to develop on tract 2. It should also be noted that the floodway shown on the preliminary maps encroach upon the east side of Lot 1. This will reduce the development area of Lot 1. In summary, once the new FEMA maps are approved, no development will be allowed on Tract 2 in its entirety and the developable area of Lot 1 will be reduced. To allow development on tract 2 and portions of tract 1, after the preliminary maps have been approved a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) or Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) will be required on your part once again to remove those sections from the floodway and the floodplain. If you should have any questions concerning this information please feel free to contact me at 972/304-3686. Sincerely, Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E. Director of Engineering/Public Works
