SUMMARY:
1. Ken suggested to check plans for constructability. He also wanted us to check
temporary shoring along driveways with respect to access.
2. Add a note that temporary shoring provides for cross drainage.
3. Subgrade should be 8" thick.
4. Ken wanted to provide a 2% cross slope area 6ft. wide adjacent to curb for future
sidewalks on all Typical Sections. Shannon indicated that it would change the cross
sections and ditch lines. Cross slopes at 2% adjacent to curb are provided at most of
the typical sections as indicated on the plans.
5. Ken wanted to eliminate construction easement and remain within existing ROW
wherever possible. It was noted that that would change a lot of the design plans and
typical sections.
6. Existing tress shown in some areas have already been removed.
7. Pavers need to be extended in the narrow medians to the point where the medians is 6ft
wide.
8. Drainage easement will be required at all outfalls, which changes plats.
9. Provide a minimum of 20' radius at all locations at curb returns for driveways along
southside. The radii can be truncated if they do not fit within the area.
10. Remove street lights and inlets between sta 44+70 and 45+70, since a median will be
installed later for a future roadway/driveway.
11. Do not strip for bikeway or adjacent to curbs, striping should be only for lane lines.
--'12. Replace yellow striping with double white reflectors at 30" cc.
13. Do not show exiSting sanitary sewer line as abandoned. Existing line is to remain
active.
14. Storm lines crossing DWU water lines will need to be coordinated with DWU. DWU
lines may require additional support at crossing~ or concrete cradle.

15. Ken wanted a copy of the latest cost estimate.
16. Specifications need to define every pay item clearly.
17. City project number is ST 93-01 for this phase of Sandy Lake Road construction.
18. FEMA has revised latest flood elevations in the area. They have lowered the floor
elevation by approximately 2 feet.
19. Ken indicated that the city would require 3 sets half size plans and 1 full size set of
drawings.
20. Ken indicated that the city would like to utilize the new parapet standard walls along the
culvert crossing. Shannon noted that the way the culvert was designed it would not be
feasible to located the walls, unless significant design changes were done. Ken
indicated that he also wanted to pursue construction of the bridge instead of a culvert at
the location. Shannon replied that the issue was discussed several times with the
County and Sverdrup was directed to proceed with the design of the culvert.
21. Shannon will discuss all issues with Dallas County.
