I am putting together the workplan right now, and want to have that to Mindi by the end of the week. The workplan will include proposed locations and we can go from there. We can give you a better idea of timing and conflicts if we can see on the ground what you need to do and where. We drill a small hole to about 3 feet and we do leave a sampling probe in the ground for a week or two, depending on different factors. We plug the hole (with a removable plug) and mark the location with a flag, so it would be important that the area not be disturbed. We won't be impacting too much of the construction site though. We will stay to within 100 feet south of Bethel Road, and mostly on the Former Coppell Auto Center property, with a little bit of encroachment on the site to the east (to just past the grass median and the west driveway). Is there a time period in December or January when construction is going to slack off, or when this area of the site can be left alone for a week or so? We would certainly work with your construction guys on this, as we don't want to get in their way and hinder progress. Do you leave your equipment on site, or do you go out and take samples and take them back with you? Keith Marvin just reminded me that this is an active construction site so 1) they need to know when you will be out there so that they aren't in your way and you aren't in theirs and 2) if you are leaving something in the ground, they need to know where so that they can work around it. I've copied Keith on this email so that he can be kept informed and keep his construction inspector informed at the site. Thank you for any information you can provide. After review of the provided assessment information, and conducting the Tier 2 non-invasive screening and a risk-based evaluation of the soil and groundwater contaminant concentrations, we have not found sufficient evidence to suggest that contaminated groundwater or the overlying contaminated native soil would present a vapor encroachment condition. However, we are considering conducting limited invasive soil sampling to 1) confirm the results of our Tier 2 screening and risk-based evaluation, and 2) to determine the potential for vapor intrusion in locations where utility trenches exist or are proposed as these trenches are potential preferential pathways for the vapor. We will prepare an invasive screening workplan for your review. Please call me if you have any questions. Thanks!
