Subject: MEETING WITH CITY OF COPPELL
ALL,
Keith, Below is a summary of our meeting on 04/20/2005. Lynn would like to set up a meeting Friday
04/29/2005 to follow up and present Verizons proposed solutions.
A meeting between The City Of Coppell, Verzion and Klaasmeyer was held on April 20,2005 to discuss
concerns over protection of existing facilities and the use of City of Coppell Resourses. Also discussed
was work activity on current and future permits in the City of Coppell.
(1) Impact of cuts.
(a) Damaged cabled in Sandy Lake Rd area.
(b) Response time to clear trouble and the City of Coppell's Emergency Resources been tied up.
(c) Verizon to add 2 more Inspectors to cover Coppell.
(2)Impact Of Cutting Gas Lines.
(a) After the cutting of 1 gas line all work is to stop. High Pressure gas Verizon to have Representative of
Gas Company on site.
(3) Up inspector to 2 to 4 for both Verizon and Klaasmeyer
(a) Danny Fortune of Verizon and Don Klaasmeyer said that they have 2 more people on board to cover
Coppell.
(4) City of Coppell to share Cut Speadsheet with Klaasmeyer to clear up and errors between the two
spreadsheets.
(5)The City of Coppell Civil Engineer Keith Marvin call a meeting 04/20/2005 at 3 PM for Verizon and
Klaasmeyer to discuss concerns over protection of exiting facilities and the use of City OF Coppell
resources. In order for Verizon to continue work activity on current permits in the City of Coppell our
Attendance was a priority for attendance. Lynn Pierce, John Hester, Cesar Moncada, Danny Fortune, Dan
Ambrose, Keith Marvin, Larry Davis, Glen Hollowell, Danny Hightower and Representatives of
Klaasmeyer Construction and Ameriss Engineering where present.
(a) The question of 50' ROW and the Placement of FiOS was bought up. The City wants Verizon to be 5'
from their Water and Sewer Lines. There is an 11 ROW with a 4' Sidewalk 6' from EOP. The Sewer and
Water are 8' from the Property line. This leaves only 1' behind the sidewalk to place FiOS. This is not
possible because of the boxes 17' x 30' and 2' x 3'.
(B) Lynn Pierce has set up a team to come up with a solution to this problem. Verizon has had 14 Permits
released from the City with FiOS being 3' from the Sewer before 04-18-2005.
(c) A meeting is to be held on Friday 04/29/2005 Time TBA Lynn Pierce/Keith Marvin.
