Dear Mr. Phillips:
This letter is in response to your request for TxDOT to review the recommended
changes at the intersection of Denton Tap Road and SH 121 Frontage Road in
the City of Coppell. We offer the following comments. We concur with the
recommendations made in the request, specifically;
• Add a striped island at the north end of the western median.
• Restripe the "puppy tracks" through the intersection.
• Shift the center line median nose of Denton Tap Road approximate 20 feet
to the south, similar to the geometry of the southern half of the
intersection.
• If the third bullet immediately above is implemented, the stop line and
adjacent lane markings for northbound Denton Tap Road will need to be
restriped.
Please notify NTTA that TxDOT concurs with the recommendations and that they
may proceed with the changes.
