Carrollton-CS 890629 (2) ....................... Mr. Russ~l Doyle, P. E. City En~neer City o~ Coppell Box 4~ Cop~l, Texas 75019 Dear Russell: Enclosed is a copy of an article which appeared in the June 28, 1989, issue of the Carrollton Chronicle. As we discussed this morning, I direct your attention to the end of this article, which asserts that our staff provided assurances that the landfill zoning case would be denied by City Council. I appreciate your comment verifying that at no point in our dialogue on the case did Carrollton's staff assure Coppell's staff of the outcome of this case. Hopefully, Mr. Wolfe's comments were misinterpreted or taken out of context by the media. I would appreciate your support in relaying this position through the appropriate hierarchy of your organization. I also appreciate the open and constructive dialogue that was maintained between our respective staffs throughout this lengthy zoning case.
