Dear Mr. Parsons:
As discussed on Wednesday, June 21st, the City of Coppell
has been under the impression and belief that TU Electric
would not allow the use of th~eir easgmen~/right-of-way to
gain access to the proposed~--~°-~'l'~-'i~~l, I hope we
can count on you to maintain~-t~is--co~Y~%-h~-~ntil all the
concerns expressed by Mayor Wolfe and the City Council are
fully addressed and resolved.
Since the Carrollton City Council only approved this project
by a 4 to 3 vote, with Mayor Gravely also voicing grave
concerns, it is apparent that many others will be
disappointed if this project is permitted.
As I understand it, the applicant now intends to initiate
action to secure the necessary permits for an operation of a
landfill from the State of Texas. We intend to make the
State agencies aware of our opposition and concerns and hope
you will join us in this effort.
I will look forward to discussing this matter further in the
near future and would ask that you keep us informed of any
contact or attempts by the applicant to secure TU's support
of the project or securing of access via the TU
right-of-way.
