Big Cedar-CS 941024To: From: RE: Date: MEMORANDUM O Greg Jones, Chief Building Official ~ Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E., Asst. City Manager/Dir. Public Works/City Engineer Big Cedar Addition October 24, 1994 I was recently contacted by the resident at 525 Lynn Court concerning lot drainage. Upon visiting his property on Friday, October 21 st, I noted that the homes that front on Melinda Court drain to the east and through his property. The drainage plan that was approved for the Big Cedar Addition clearly shows that the property on Melinda Court should be draining to Melinda Court and the property on Lynn Court should be draining to Lynn Court i.e., the drainage divide should be at the rear of the properties. This means that the properties should be draining to the front of their property. I request that when the remaining homes are built that the drainage patterns, as provided with this letter, be followed as closely as possible. It is very critical that the drainage at 526 Melinda be taken out to Melinda as opposed to the rear of the property. This might require the builders to do something innovative because of the drainage patterns already set by 522 and 530 Melinda. Again, a strong attempt should be made to insure that the drainage is properly drained to Melinda as opposed to the rear of the lot. This is very critical for the existing homes on Lynn Court. If you should have any questions concerning this please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
