Results:
On April 26, 2012 reinforcing steel was observed at the following locations:
• Retaining wall stem from (approximately) station 20+18 to 19+70
The following discrepancies were noted and called to the attention of Pollo, a representative of
California Construction.
•
1. No red wood used at joint between April 25, 2012 and April 26, 2012 footing placements.
This was not discovered till after placement started.
2. Discovered wu bars not used at top of stem wall placed on April 24, 2012. Also no weep
holes were used for April 24, 2012 stem wall.
3. No wu bars placed at top of stemwall.
4. Two (2) weep holes lower than adjacent fence grade, one (1) weep hole sloping downward
toward the heel.
The above discrepancies 3 and 4 will be corrected after location of pilasters provided to field
personnel. Concrete placement was cancelled for this day.
