Marvin, P.E., Project Engineer DATE: June 12,2012 RE: Consider approval of an agreement with Oncor Electric Delivery to provide street lighting within the Old Town Coppell and Bethel Road Project area in the amount of $262,575.27, as provided for in CIP funds; and authorizing the City Manager to sign. On September 13, 2011, Council awarded a contract to JRJ Paving, LP for the construction of Old Town Coppell and Bethel Road infrastructure improvements. Included in this project was a street light design. JRJ is installing conduit and street light foundations under this previously approved contract. The item before you this evening is a supplemental agreement with Oncor to pull wire through the conduit, and set light poles on the foundations constructed by JRJ. The light standard selected for this project is depicted in the attached exhibit. This is the same style of light used along South Coppell Road between Bethel Road and Burns Street. Entering into this agreement with Oncor will authorize the erection of the street lights along Bethel Road, Main Street, Burnet Street, Crocket Street, Houston Street, and Travis Street as depicted in the attached exhibit. These lights are erected and maintained by Oncor, with the city funding the initial installation and a monthly amount for operation and maintenance.
