INTRODUCTION This engineering report is prepared to support a Letter of Map Revision based on Fill (LOMR-F) for Lot 1, Block A, Denton Creek at Sandy Lake Addition, being a 1.776-acre residential lot in the City of Coppell, Dallas County, Texas. This property is located (Exhibit 1)north of Sandy Lake Road and west of Starleaf Street. While Denton Creek flows adjacent to the northeast side of the property, the Elm Fork of the Trinity River has the controlling water surface. The BFE upstream of Sandy Lake Road is shown on Dallas County FIS profile plot plate 165P (Exhibit 3). The Dallas County Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) number 48113C0155J effective August 23, 2001 (Exhibit 2) shows that relationship of Denton Creek, the location of the property, and the Zone AE Elm Fork Trinity floodplain. A portion of lot 1 has been filled and removed from the 100-year floodplain. The purpose of this LOMR-F Application is to get a determination letter that concurs with the removal request for a portion of lot 1. II. METHODOLOGY This effected reach of Elm Fork Trinity is mapped on the effective FEMA FIRM as a detailed Zone AE study area and shows a BFE elevation of 447 west of the subject tract.. The current effective FIS Profile Plate 165P shows the BFE for the 1%event to range from 446 to 447 adjacent to the study property. Therefore, the higher elevation of 447 is used on the MT-1 Form 2 Elevation Form as the controlling BFE. III. SUMMARY To support this Removal Determination following are the completed MT-1 forms, a copy of the current FIRM with the property located, a copy of the recorded Denton Creek at Sandy Lake Road Plat map (Exhibit 4), and field verified grading for Lot 1(Exhibit 5) with a metes and bounds of the are outside of the floodplain.
