Kevin,
We need a letter from you stating that you would like a variance from our subgrade requirement. We are ok with it
however, we require the pavement to increase by an inch. So the fire lane will need to be 7" instead of 6" and the
parking will need to be 6" instead of 5". I also noticed and I should have made the comment but we have switched our
standard details to show#4 bars on 18" centers.

Michael,
One question I got from the Contractor is regarding the need for lime stabilized subgrades. Our Geotechnical report
does not identify Lime as a requirement and City Detail 2300 notes that"alternative subgrades supported by lab tests
may be submitted to City for approval". I've attached the report for your use and would like to request the alternative of
not using lime.
