RE: Project#WA 06-02, South Moore Rd. Drainage Improvement

Dear Resident or Business Owner:
The Engineering Department has contracted with Canary Construction of Coppell to improve
drainage in the Stringfellow Addition, south of Sandy Lake and west of Moore Rd. We will
work to improve problems in this area that have occurred due to redevelopment in the past few
years.
One of the items to be solved is the elimination of an old 2" water service that only serves one
home, the other problem concerns poor drainage in this general area. To solve the drainage
problem the contractor will extend an 18" drainage pipe an additional 272 feet in order to
connect it to a 30" storm drain, and install two inlets to drain the water efficiently into the pipe.
The contractor will begin work on or about September 19`1' and should be complete with the
project in approximately 30 days, depending on the weather. You should expect to see workers,
vehicles and equipment from Canary Construction in your neighborhood performing these
activities soon.
