RE: Texas Industries, Inc. Request to Be Placed. on First
Possible City Council Meeting to Discuss SUP
Bt approximately 3:0C p.m. today Mr.~ William F. Rapier representing
Texas Industries, Inc. submitted to our office the attached material
requesting the City Council's endorsement by resolution of their
request to. the City of Carrollton for a Special Use Permit for
mining of pitrun sand and gravel materials from ]and north of
Denton Creek and Sandy Lake Road. Mr. Rapier first approached
me several weeks ago in reference to our Truck Route Ordinance
which I discussed with him.
I advised Mr. Rapier that I'd make your office aware of his request
and would forward ~ack to him a date in which his request could
be presented to the City Council. He informed me that once notified
they would be prepared to give a presentation to the City Council.
