Future 214-462-0022 March 1.5, 1989 Revised: 3/16/89 Ms. Kathy Stivers Senior Planner City of Carrollton 1945 Jackson Road Second Floor Carrollton, Texas 75011-0535 Dear Ms. Stivers: This letter is to provide you the status of the City of Coppell's position regarding the mining SUP and the Landfill SUP currently before your policy bodies. To my knowledge, the City of Coppell has been contacted by each applicant, and while each applicant is an earnest professional, there has been no submittal to the Coppell City Council for consideration. Nor has Staff been provided any information or documentation regarding either SUP case to alleviate or arrest any of our concerns originally set on record as cited to you in your meeting with the key members of the Coppell's Staff Development Review Committee. You indicated that a condition of the mining SUP states that "All loaded trucks shall proceed westerly on Sandy Lake Road from the D P & L access easement". It appears that that activity may not be in compliance with the City of Coppell's Truck Route Ordinance, since there would be no point of origin nor destination within the City of Coppell. We hope this will clear the record in the event that there was any misunderstanding in the City of Coppell's Staff effort to cooperate with its neighbors and respective applicants. The City of Carrollton's continued professional interest in the impacts and concerns of the City of Coppell is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Since~.~y, ~ City Engineer xc: Alan D.
