Mr. DelSanter:
We have inspected the retaining wall at our east property lines and determined that the wall is
failing and is in need of immediate attention. The wall is bulging in several places, many of the
timbers that were used to build the wall are warped, and the wall itself is leaning outward onto the
adjacent Birdsong property. The wall is an eyesore and a detraction from the neishborhood on
both sides.
In addition, the water runoff from our properties flows from west to east, between thc railroad ti,s
and onto the Birdsong property in a manner that is deqximental to the intesrity of the wall and to
the Birdsong property. It is our understanding that the runoff should flow from south to north
into our flood retention pond at the north end of our street.
It appears from the rapid degeneration of the wall that perhaps a design, material, or structural
flaw exists. It is of the utmost importance that this matter receive~ your immediate attention so
that further erosion or property damage will not occur. Please r'-~pond to this request on or before
May 22, 2000 with your plan for corrective action that is satisfactory to the homeowners whose
signatures are below.
