Carter Addn 3-CS121112 (2)The following notice is being posted by hand on doors in Carter Estates today to warn residents of an impending water shut-off so that utility lines can be connected for a new subdivision nearby. It was originally scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday), however it was rescheduled to give sufficient notice to everyone. You may have gotten calls about this already; I’m sharing the info with you so in case you get calls on Thursday you can transfer them to Engineering. We’ve had calls from some today claiming the shut-down is illegal, so PD may even be contacted on Thursday (although we hope not). This type of shut-down is a common occurrence and is necessary to connect these new lines to city water service lines. ________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________ NOTICE OF WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION Due to utility connection work in your area, please be advised that the water service to your home will be shut off on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH from approximately 9:00 a.m. until approximately 4:00 p.m. We will make every effort to speed up the process and have the water back on sooner, if possible. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this necessary work may cause. If you need bottled water to get through the day on the 15th, contact the contractor at the number below.
