In response to Carrollton's Staff's phone call, City staff met with
Carrollton staff members Kathy Stivers, Senior Planner, and Cissy
Taylor, Traffic Engineer, on subject facility. Carrollton staff will
follow-up by letter to us.
Attached are the materials we received. In attendance at this
meeting were Troy Glidewell, Chief Griffin, Taryon Bowman, Steve
Goram and myself. (We will be consulting Larry Jackson and Dale
Jackson).
Carrollton is preparing this application, as an S.U.P. to go before
their Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, January 19, 1989.
They plan to have a combined or joint session between their Planning
and Zoning Commission and City Council on January 26, 1989, at 6:30
p.m. Their staff recommendation will be to continue the Public
Heating'of their Planning and Zoning Commission to February 16, 1989,
after the January 26th meeting.
This application is for a private land fill (not owned by the City of
Carrollton), that wants to access public ROW's thru Sandy Lake Road
in the City of Coppell, just east of the T.U. Right-of-Way. We
discussed many aspects of this matter, and will consult Larry and
Dale Jackson regarding the City of Coppell's jurisdiction(s) over
this matter. Our general opinion on a number of fronts was
disapproval. This memo is just a quick briefing for immediate
notice.
