I received your letter of July 26th as well as the back-up material. I have also consulted with Mayor
Morton and Public Works Director, Ken Griffin, regarding the City's responsibilities on MacArthur
Blvd.
I believe the City has taken the appropriate action based on your April 25, 1995 resolution. In
reviewing that resolution you asked the City to maintain the landscaping on that portion of MacArthur
Blvd. located within the boundaries of the Association. In the next paragraph, you quote that the City
of Coppell has assumeo the maintenance of other areas of MacArthur Blvd. within the boundaries of
another Homeowners Association and you ask for similar relief. The similar relief to the City of
Coppell means the mowing of the median, as was granted to the other Homeowners Association, Lakes
of Coppell.
I am sorry for any confusion, but I believe the Mayor, the Public Works Director, the Council and the
City Manager were all clear in their intent when it was discussed at our May 23rd meeting. We took
the appropriate action to relieve you of the median maintenance responsibility.
