Engineering Services Agreement Modifications
Dear Mr. Griffin:
As you requested, we are pleased to submit revision to our Engineering Services Agreement with the City of
Coppeli for the Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Storage Tank project, dated July 23, 1996. This revision
modifies the scope of our engineering services as follows:

PHASE I: 2.0 MG COMPOSITE ELEVATED TANK
Additional engineering services related to the design of Northpoint Drive Extension and the
Material Storage Bins
1. Design and preparation of construction plans and specification for the extension of Northpoint
Drive from its current termination at the noahwest comer of the Wagon Wheel Ranch property to
the eastern limits of the proposed tank site.
2. Preparation of the necessary plat and field note descriptions for additional right-of-way
requiremehts associated with the extension of Northpoint Drive.
3. Design and preparation of the necessary details for the structural components of the proposed
materials storage bin exterior wall at the elevated tank site and Our original scope of services
included layout of the tank site with consideration of future storage bins, but did not anticipate
including the construction of the bins with the tank project.
We propose these services be appended to the Phase I Special Services as shown of Exhibit "B" of the
original Engineering Services Contract.
It is our opinion that the probable construction cost for the Northpoint Drive extension is in the range of
$70,000. Our opinion of probable construction cost of the material storage bin exterior wall and interior
pavement surfaces is approximately $65,000. This opinion of cost is based on the preliminary layout of the
tank site which shows the configuration of the material storage bins and the extension of Northpoint Drive as

previously considered and accepted by the City. We are enclosing an itemized copy of our opinion of
construction cost for your review.
For the additional services outlined above, we propose to increase our Special Services compensated by
$8,000, making the revised lump sum amount for Special Services $68,000. We recommend Exhibit "F" of
the original agreement be modified as below to reflect this change.

If you are in agreement with the revised scope of engineering services and compensation amount, please have
one copy of this Engineering Services Agreement Amendment executed for the City of Coppeil and returned
to our office. Of course if you desire, rather than revising our existing agreement we will be happy to issue a
new Engineering Services Agreement which incorporates these changes and which will supersede our original
agreement dated July23, 1996.
We appreciate the opportunity to provide continued engineering services to the City of Coppell and are
available to discuss this proposal further at your convenience.
