We use the most accurate testing system avail- able, the "Hornet Ezy-Chek". This testing system exceeds tke N.F.P.A. 329 precision test- requirements. 'Our personnel carry ali necessary credentials. Earth Science Technology does not make repairs to leaking systems, nor do we sell or install new tanks. In providing tke precision tank testing service, we feel our opinions of your systems are very unbiased. We test 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to minimize disruption to your business. A 2 hour test, testing 3 tanks, would interupt your business for approximate!y"3 hours. Questions concerning the laws and regulations here in Texas can be addressed to your local Fire Department, the Texas Water Commission, or to us, Earth Science Technology. All tanks must be filled within 6 inches of the TOP of the fill tube. Have available 5-25 Gallons of similiar product at each site. No heavy equipment movement within twenty feet of the tank. The Drop Tube must be removable. This must be checked prior to the test date. If the tube is immobile, a plumber may be required to loosen it. This must be done prior to the test. Allow for a 3 hour test. FEE SCHEDULE Single tank $350.00*/tank Two-Three tanks $300.00*/tank Four tanks or greater $250.00*/tank *Plus any and all fees or licenses if required. This equipment performs leak detection based on temperature and volume and the theoretical coefficient of expansion and their relationship to each other. This system meets the requirements of the Texas Water Commission Underground Storage Tank Regulations (T.W.C., Title 31, Chapter 334, Section 334.50, Sub Chapter d, Article 1), and N.F.P.A. 329. Below is a very brief description of test equipment. Liauid Level Principle of 0Deration The liquid level recorder is a very sensitive pressure gauge. Approximately one ounce of pressure is full scale. Low pressure air flows from the air supply tank to the bellows which is connected to the pen recorder. The pressure is teed off from the bellows to a 1/4" plastic tube which is inserted into the top 1/2" of product causing a bubbling action. The recorder is monitoring the head pressure of the product. If the product is expanding the level will go up changing the head pressure. As the level goes up it will take more pressure to cause the bubbling action, which will move the pen up on the chart. If the level is going down it will take less pressure to cause the bubbling action, which will move the pen down on the chart. TemDerature Probe PrinciD!e of Operation The probe consists of platinum sensing wires encased in a coil spring of special plastic tubing. The probe is formed with more coils in the center of its length than on its ends, thus proportioning the length of sensing wires to the volume of a round tank. When the weighted probe is lowered into any tank ranging from 2 to 20 feet in diameter...and the proportion of coils to location remains constant. This yields an accurate average temperature change, if any, when the product is stratified. The digital indicator displays changes to .001 degree Fahrenheit. It would be the responsibility of the contact person at each site to coordinate fuel deliveries and system top off per the agreed upon schedule, unless otherwise requested by the client. 2. It would be the client's responsibility to assure fuel was removed from any tank found to be leaking and the systems taken out of service. 3. If a plubming "only" problem is found, and the "in service status" of that system is determined to be critical by the client, it will be the client's responsibility to have repairs made and not considered a part of this scope of work. The coordination by us for this situation would be at an additional cost to the client. 4, Any system repaired and hence needing to be retested would be done so at an additional cost to the client at the quoted per tank cost. 5. Any tank failing the high test would be pumped down to tank level and a low test ran, thus evaluating the tank only. In the cases where a low test is required, the low test would be done at NO additional charge to the client. 6. It will be the client's responsibility to assume that all drop tubes are removable by conventional methods (by hand or strap wrench). 7. There would be a trip charge for a tank not ready on scheduled date if prior cancellation has not been given. (Charge would be 50¢ per mile office to location). 8. Earth Science Technology will call to confirm "Ready" status the working day prior to scheduled test. Phoenix AZ · Flagstaff AZ · Hesperia CA., Upland CA · Portland OR · Albuquerque NM ,.
