CF-Deforest LS-CS 960618 MEMORANDUM
DATE: JUNE 18,1996
TO: Ken Griffm, City Engineer
FROM: Kathryn Davis, Imem ~[~( ~,~.
VIA: Vivyon Bowman, Human Resources Director
SUBJECT: Request for Information
The Human Resources Department received a phone call today concerning the odor issue of the
lift station in the waterford estates subdivision. Mary Caldwell a realtor of the residence 672
Deforest would like a disclosure statement including what and will be done concerning the odor
of the lift station. She is inquiring because she has a potential buyer for the residence.
I spoke with Mr. Bowman, and he suggested I contact Mr. Henderson of Wolfe, Clark,
Henderson & Tidwell Law Associates, who is handling a current law suit (Lowell Anderson
vs. City of Coppell, etc.) for the City concerning the lift station. He informed me that if Mrs.
Caldwell is looking for a disclosure statement concerning the litigation, than he can release the
information. However, if she is looking for a written disclosure statement concerning what the
City intends to do about the odor, then she is to contact the department who is responsible for
the lift station.
Mr. Bowman suggests to you to speak with Mrs. Caldwell and find out what her exact needs
are. He also suggests that before you release the disclosure, you should have it reviewed by Mr.
Henderson, the attorney handling the case. Mrs. Caldwell can be reached at (214) 931-2400.
If you have any questions on this matter please feel free to contact Vivyon Bowman or myself
and we will be happy to answer any questions you have.
