Construction Plan 1st Review Comments
Dear Mr Hennessey:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
1. The domestic water line will need to come off of the public water main.
2. Move the 4"FDC next to the fire hydrant.
3. Increase the top of the berm to maintain a minimum of 1' of freeboard.
4. Are there any trees that need to come out? Contact John Elias in our parks department for a tree removal
permit.
There may be additional comments written on the plans that need to be addressed. The plans will be approved
once these changes have been made. The City of Coppell requires three sets of final construction plans for its
use; your office should submit as many additional sets for stamping as is necessary for construction operations.
All contractors and subcontractors onsite must have a copy of the plans approved by the City of Coppell along
with a copy of the City's standard construction details.
All fees must be paid prior to release of this project for construction. The City charges a 2% inspection fee for
all private construction outside the building's footprint. This includes dirt work, paving, storm drains, water
lines, sewer lines, drainage pipes, etc. that are private. For all installations in the public right-of-way or
easement,the City charges a 4%fee.
A check for inspection fees made to the City of Coppell should be submitted to this office with the Construction
Development Permit Application and a copy of the Construction Site Notice. For your convenience, Page 3 of
the permit application is a spreadsheet for use in calculating the inspection fees. A copy of the contract(s) should
be attached for verification purposes.
