ST0501-CS130215George and Larry,
I have spoken to both of you about some remaining “clean up” items
around our HOA from the Deforest Road project several times now. I
would like to formally detail them here to see if we could these
expedited. I am also copying the President, Vice President and
Secretary/Treasurer of our Deforest Court HOA.
#1. Atmos Energy “Tracker”- This has been lying on the ground at the NW
corner of Deforest Ct and Deforest Rd for at least 2 months. On Monday,
Feb 4th I contacted Atmos Energy. They sent someone out to look at it
but declared that they were not the right department to bury it. So,
nothing has been done. I think the City of Coppell should just come and
stick it in the ground. It is dangerous and an eyesore. It will be
severed when spring mowing starts.
#2 Missing box over metal parts and wires- This has been this way for at
least 4 months. It is right along the sidewalk at the SE corner of
Allen Road and Deforest Rd. On Monday February 4th I contacted Verizon.
They sent out a technician. He came and spoke with me personally. It
is NOT a Verizon box. It is cable and looks like Charter
Communications/Time Warner. The Verizon guy thinks it is abandoned.
None the less, it is sharp metal and twisted wires and need to be either
removed or covered. Again, I think the City of Coppell needs to handle
this.
#3 Abandoned barricade/sign post. This sign post has been sitting at the
SE corner of Allen Road and Deforest Ct since the project began 14
months ago. Please arrange to have it removed.
As an HOA, we do appreciate all you have done to finish up the Deforest
Rd project. But, I would like to request that these remaining items be
added to the punch list so that when all our kids are out on bikes and
scooters this spring we do not have any injuries.
Thank you,
Debbie Crumpler
