RE: DeForest Road
Dear Mr. Bommarito:
This letter is written in response to your request concerning the future status of DeForest Road.
Currently, the City of Coppell is corresponding with Dallas County in regards to utilizing the
County's contractor to rebuild DeForest Road. We have identified a cost and included that
amount of money in the fiscal year 1995/96 Budget. If the Budget is approved with those
dollars in it then the negotiations with Dallas County could be finalized and the road could be
rebuilt. Hopefully, this can take place in late 1995. It is anticipated that the limits of
reconstruction would be from MacArthur Blvd. to Allen Road. The scope would be to relay an
asphalt surface with bar ditches and to attempt to widen the roadway as much as possible to
create a safer traveling environment. If these monies are not approved, then the City of Coppell
would continue to perform as needed maintenance to keep the road in a driveable condition.
