The pump station foundation is supported by a system of 32
drilled piers. The base bid for the project included an
estimated 860 lineal feet of 18" diameter drilled piers. A total
of 1,156.5 lineal feet was necessary to reach a suitable
penetration on the 32 piers. This represents 296.5 lineal feet
of ad4itional piers above the base bid quantity (~9.3'/pier
avg.). The attached Change Order ~3 in the amount of $8,434.00
reflects the extra ~antity of drilled piers re~ired to achieve
the necessa~ penetration. Sufficient funds are available in the
project contingencies for this Change Order.
We have reviewed this re,est and reco~end that it be approved.
