Dear Mr. Doyle:
Attached please find six (6) copies of Change Order #2 for the
above referenced project. This change order has been initiated
at the request of Mr. Dale Jackson, Building Official, for the
City of Coppell. The purpose of this change order is to allow
for the main electrical service(s) to the pump station to be
remotely tripped from the outside in the event of an emergency.
The proposed modifications will increase the contract amount by
$2,300.00. There will be no change in contract time.
We recommend that the City approve this requested change. If you
concur, please forward this Change Order to Mr. Ratliff for his
approval. Cajun has requested a response on this item by April
28, 1989 in order to avoid possible delays to the pump station.

remote trips for the main service breakers for the above
referenced project. This work can be performed, if a decision
can be reached on this matter by April 28, 1989, for the cost of
$2,300.00. Time is of the essence so as to prevent delays in
equipment fabrication and delivery.

We have been requested by the City of Coppell's Building
Inspection Department to investigate the possibility of adding
remote trips for the' main service breakers on the above
referenced project.
Enclosed is a letter from C.R. McCreary and Associates which
outlines the additional materials required for this modification.
Please review the enclosure and prepare a proposal for this work.
Upon receipt of your proposal, we will discuss the matter with
the city of Coppell and determine if a formal change order will
be pursued.

Subject: City of Coppell Electrical Ordinance
Dear Sanford,
I met with Mr. Dale Jackson of the City of Coppell earlier this week regarding
the City ilectrical Ordinance. lie gave us permission to let the main breakers
be tripped from the outside of the building.
Please initiate a change to do this. The breakers are already specified to be
electrically operated, so all we have to do is add the pushbuttons, control
wiring, and the enclosures. The contractor will need to do the following:
1. install a 3/4 inch conduit with 5 # 12 awg control wires from the
switchgear to a NEMA 3R enclosure on an outside wall. The conduit should
be in the slab. The enclosure should be on the outside building wall
inside of the fence next to the double doors for the switchgear room.
2. The Enclosure shall be NF~tA 3R at least 10'l tall by 8" wide by
deep, Hoffman # A-10R86HCR with a # A-10NSP backpanel. The pushbuttons
shall be red in color, maintained type (push to trip, pull to reset) with a
mushroom head, Square D class 9001 type SK. Each pushbutton shall be
mounted in a Square D class 9001 type KY enclosure inside the Hoffman
enclosure. Each pushbutton shall trip its respective main. The pushbutton
shall not re-close the main when it is reset, however it will be required
to be reset before the breaker can be manually re-closed from the inside.
3. The outside of the enclosure shall have an engraved nameplate stating "MAIN
BREAKER REMOTE TRIP" with white 1" high letters on a red background.
Inside the pushbuttons shall have nameplates stating "MAIN BREAKER # 1
TRIP" and "MAIN BREAKER # 2 TRIP" white 1/4I' high letters on a red

background. Also, there shall be a nameplate on the inside door of the
Hoffman enclosure stating "BREAKERS CAN ONLY BE CLOSED MANUALLY AFTER
TRIP".
