Dear Larry:
Reference our telephone conversation, August 31st, 1994,
regarding the geological testing and repairing of Deforst
Road east of MacArthur Boulevard, used by contractors to
redistribute dirt from our newly acquired 6.216 acres to the
first phase of The Estates of Cambridge Manor.
As of Wednesday, August 31, 1994, GEE Consultants has performed
the necessary gradation and P.I. testing deemed necessary to
comply with the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
The results of these tests will be available to your office on
Friday, September 2, 1994.
Based on preliminary results of these tests, it is recommended
that approximately 625 feet of Deforest Road (see attached plat
of referenced area) be renewed using the following:
o Three (3") inches of FLEX-BASE
o Two (2") inches of ASPHALT
This restoration is scheduled to begin on Friday, September 2,
1994, weather conditions permitting.
The reason and purpose of this immediate repair and restoration
of Deforest Road is to allow emergency vehicles and the general
public to have easy access to the end of Deforest Road and to
also allow the paving contractor to enter Deforest Road from
Allen Road. This will allow these hauling trucks easy access
thru our phase two road, which is already in place, and to not
damage Deforest Road due east of MacArthur Road.
After completion of the paving of The Estates of Cambridge Manor
(Phase One), Beamer Development will repair and restore any new
damage that may have occured on this referenced strip of Deforest
Road.
