The agenda items for the meetings include discussion of the Public Education Fair held
in January with a focus on regional opportunities; discussion of the storm water
management video (draft outline to be mailed to you next week for review prior to the
meeting), and discussions on the regional strategy policy position piece. We will also
begin planning for the next regional forum on development/redevelopment to be held in
April. To get us all starting to think about this issue, I have included an article on the
topic written and distributed by EPA Region 6 staff at a conference last year.
Several asked for contact information for the exhibitors at the Public Education Fair. I
have enclosed a table of this information for your reference in case you need to follow up
with them. You will also find enclosed a tentative meeting schedule for the remainder of
the year. If you attended the Fair, you may have already picked up one of these. We
have not finalized the specific dates and locations of the remaining two regional forums,
but plan to held them in the months of April and July. We will let you know more as soon
as we can.
I hope that you will be able to attend one of the upcoming watershed meetings and
participate in this important regional effort to address the challenges of storm water and
watershed management. If you have any questions, please contact me at 817/695-
9221.
