TNRCC records indicate that your city owns one or more underground petroleum storage tanks that may be
out of compliance w/th State and Federal laws. These laws require that all such tanks be protected by
corrosion protection, spill containment, overfill pro~ecfion, tank and piping release detection. These
measures were required to be completed by December 22, 1998. Certification of financial msl;onsibility is
also required.
An accelerated insl~ction pro,ram will shorlly b~gin to verify that these measures have be~n accomplished.
It is important that n~exi upgrades be accomplished and that such upgrades be communicated to the PST
Technical Services Section as soon as possible. Please call (512) 239-2160 to do this, or to correct our
records. If you have questions of a technical nature r~garding required upgrades, please call (512) 239-2182.
