• North Central Texas Council Of Governments TO: Storm Water Contacts DATE: June 24, 1999 FROM: Keith Kennedy Senior Environmental Planner SUBJECT: Action items from the June 17'h Coordinating Council meeting As you know, the Regional Storm Water Management Coordinating Council met on June 17, 1999. A number of actions were voted on and approved. To keep the entire membership informed of these actions, I am providing you with a meeting summary that generally describes what occurred at the meeting and what the action items were. These action items are underlined for your convenience. The Regional Storm Water Policy Position was approved with minor edit changes. These changes have been incorporated in the enclosed version. This document will be going to NCTCOG's Executive Board for adoption on July 22. The FY2K NCTCOG Regional Storm Water Work Program was also approved with minor edit changes. Again, the enclosed copy has these changes incorporated and they were reviewed by Chair James Caffey. Note that this copy is for your reference only. You will receive a formal contract packet with copies of this work program in the coming months. If you need the contract information sooner, please let us know and we will accommodate your needs. The only other item up for action was the update material on the Construction BMP Manual. Council members are reminded that they have a deadline of July 2 to review this material and get comments back to NCTCOG. NCTCOG staff is busily working on the upcoming forum on Municipal Good Housekeeping Operations. If any of you have any ideas on what you would like to see or hear, or have any examples that you would like to share, please contact one of the NCTCOG staff immediately. We are still seeking volunteers for the ad hoc committee to assist us with the program development. Staff will be contacting each of you individually for ideas in the near future and will be sending you a list of topics to review. Thanks for your participation in the regional program and we look forward to continuing our program initiatives with you in the coming year. If you have any questions regarding this material or the regional program in general, please do not hesitate to contact me at (817) 695 -9221. 616 Six Flags Drive, Centerpoint Two P. O.
