As you know, the Executive Committee of the Texas Public Works Association has established a
Statewide Storm Water Quality Task Force to address common issues among Texas communities.
The Statewide Task Force meets at least three times annually, with the fall meeting held in conjunction
with the Texas Municipal League (TML) Annual Convention. Although registration is required to attend
the TML conference, registration is not required for the Task Force meeting and anyone is welcome to
attend. The next meeting has been scheduled:

The agenda will include presentations from each of the committees on their various activities; review of
available storm water quality data; status of USEPA permitting and Phase II regulations; our World
Wide Web page on Internet; and roundtable sharing of experiences. A presentation of the final draft of
the Internet -based document, the Texas Nonpoint SourceBOOK, will be given later that afternoon to the
TPWA Executive Board starting around 1:30 p.m. in the San Antonio Convention Center as part of the
TML conference agenda. All are welcome to attend.
Note that APWA is hosting a storm water management workshop on "Implementing Phase II of the
NPDES Storm Water Regulations" on Wednesday, October 28 at the La Quinta hotel as well. A
separate registration fee is required for this all -day session. For more information, please contact Bob
