On March 26 the City Council awarded a bid for the reconstruction of Mockingbird Lane to
RKM Utility Services. RKM is currently completing the reconstruction of Willow Springs Drive,
and previously completed Heartz Road and Clear Creek Lane reconstruction projects for the City
of Coppell. This project is being funded by the ¼ ¢ sales tax revenue for the reconstruction of
neighborhood streets that was recently reauthorized by voters.
The contractor plans to begin work as soon as April 22nd. Because of the time line of the project
and the need to do most of the work over the summer months, the Engineering Department invites
Public Meetingto be held April 18, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Mockingbird Elementary

to explain the elements of the project to those who will be most affected.

From the start of construction through June 5, the contractor will maintain two-way traffic.

Beginning as soon as June 6, the contractor will restrict traffic to one-way northbound from
Bethel School Rd. to Oriole Ln. The project is expected to be complete by October 2013, with

two-way traffic re-established by the start of school on August 26.
You are cordially invited to come view the plans and talk to the designer, and the contractor who
will perform the work. Engineering Department staff will be on hand to answer your questions
