This letter shall const~_'__~_e- thc Agrcemcm between CITY OF COPPELL, and RONALD G. GERMAN, P.E., Consulting
Engineer, for professional services on thc new single story, 5,000 square foot (approx.) facility referenced above.
Project Scope of Work shall consist of the design and/or specification of the lighting, general power, fire alarm, fire
sprinkler, I-IVAC, and ph~mbing systems and construction phase engineerin~ services.
Basic S¢laric. e~ $1mll col~igt of ~ following:
Consultation to establish Mechanical/Electrical Requirements.
Preliminary Mechanical/Electrical Drawings.
Preparation of Mechanical/Electrical Bidding and Permit Drawings and details and corresponding Mechanical
and Electrical technical specifications.
Assistance in Evahiation/Negotiation of Bids.
Review of Submittal Data/Shop Drawings.
Consumption during entire comtruction phase for interpreting drawings, resolving conflicts and assistance with
pay requests.
Up to four site visits will be ~ during construction to observe and comment and to assist the Architect/Owner
in interpretin~ the Contract Documents with respect to the comtruction.
I agree to furnish the above Basic Services for the stipulated fee of Eight Thousand Five Hundred dollars ($8,500.00).
Invoices for each phase of the Basic Services shall equal the following percentages of the total contract amount:
preliminary Design 33 %
Construction Documents 53 %
Construction Administration 14 %
Total 100 %

include, but not be limited to:
Revisions to previously approved drawings.
Submission of Drawings and Specifications to Texas Architectural Standards.
Site visits in addition to Basic Services.
Warranty administration and coordination.
Preparation of 'as-lmilt' drawings (specifications will require Contractor to furnish as-built drawings).
Regularly scheduled construction meetings.
Enginee~ services provided after final review and beneficial occupancy by the Owner.
Reimbumable expenses are in addition to Basic Services and include actual expenditures for:
Long distance telephone calls for the client or Owner's benefit.
Shipping/delivery charges for shop drawings.
printing and handling costs for prints for Owner, Contractor, building officials, and ntilifies.
All out-of-pocket costs for ~ or otherwise obtaining state alld local ordinances, code amendmez~, and
forms required by state and local b~]ilding and fire officials.
Payme~ for Services and reimbursables shall be paid when earned. Fees not paid within 60 days of invoice date shall
earn interest at the rate of one percent per month. Fees shall be billed monthly.
Client will furnish to my office the following:
Architectural Drawings
Stmctural Drawings
Surveys and Drawin~,,s of existing facilities
Special Equipment Specifications
Digital ~roducti0ns (CAD files) of al~roved floor l~lans for use as engineering clrawi~ backgrou~
Services u~er this Agreement do not include preparation of Contract Documents relate! to trenching and safety
requirements which will be made the respons~ility of the Contractor.
In the event the project is poslpot~ or delayed for 30 days or more, abandoned, or otherwise not carried to completion,
it is agreed that my services for that portion of the work which has been completed shall be paid for at the above rates.
This agreement may then be revised as necessary to meet new conditions.
It is agreed that no alterations ~hall be rn~de tO the Drawings and Specifications without the knowledge and written consent
of RONALD G. GERMAN, P.E. It is further agreed that the mechanical and electrical tracings or reproduction of them
in whole or in part shall not be used on any other project without the written consent of RONALD G. GERMAN, P.E.

This Agreement. when executed, and the services defined herein shall not constitute any guarantee of the work of other
consultam~. Contractors. or Sub-Contractors who are parties to the design and construction of this project.
I shall comider the return of a copy of ~ letter with your sjgn~,re as acknowledging your acceptance of the Agreement,
as a firm contract between us. and as my ~,_,horiTation to proceed with the work of this project. This contract is made
