Re: Bid Protest of Cajun Contractors, Inc. - Village Parkway Pump
Station Project - Request for Proposal No. 0030
Dear Mr. Ratliff:
As you know, Cajun Contractors, Inc., by letter from this fire
dated November 7, 1988, filed a formal notice of bid protest in
connection with the above-referenced project. The grounds for Cajun's
p~otest are set forth in my November 7th letter in which Cajun requests
that the City not consider the bid of C.D. Henderson, Inc. for contract
award.
' In regard to that request, please consider this as Cajun's formal
st nnder the Texas Open Recor~.~ Act to review all documents and
information compiled by the City in connection with the award of
a contract on the Village Parkway Pump Station Project. See TEX. REV.
CIV. S~AT. ART. 6252 - 17(a), (Vernon Supp. 1988). Although Cajun
desires to review all applicable documents, it is specifically
interested in reviewing all correspondence and other communications
between the City and Ginn, Inc. concerning the award of a contract on
the Village Parkway project.
It is my understanding that the City may consider an award of the
contract during its regularly scheduled meeting on December 13, 1988.
As such, Cajun would request access to these documents in the early
part of December. In addition, if further documents are prepared after
Cajun has reviewed the information, then Cajun would request that you
consider this notice as continuing and therefore make available these
later produced documents to Cajun for its review.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience so that we may
arrange a mutually convenient date when Cajun can review these
documents.
