At the request of Mr. Dale Hoff, Natural Hazards Program Specialist, Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) Region VI Office, we have enclosed a Proof Copy set of the Flood Insurance Rate Map
(FIRM) for Dallas County, Texas and Incorporated Areas for your review. We have enclosed only those
Proof Copies that show your community.
Proof Copies are provided for your review because of the complexity of the restudy process and the
length of time required to revise the FIRM for Dallas County, Texas and Incorporated Areas. The
Trinity River Corridor Project was a major element of this FIRM update, along with other significant
flood management issues. The purpose of the Proof Copies is to correct any significant mapping
inaccuracies shown on the maps before final printing.
Because of the time constraints involved, we will accept changes only during a 5 -day review period
following initial receipt of the Proof Copy FIRM. Approximately 3 weeks before the effective date,
FEMA will send you the final printed copies of the FIRM and Flood Insurance Study report.
Please send any mapping concerns within 5 days to the address shown at the bottom of this page.
