Dear Mr. Michael:
Thank you for your cooperation in our meeting of November 8, 1988
to review your proposal on the above referenced projects. As an
integral part of our review, we must examine the qualifications
and experience of subcontractor~ proposed for the major items of
work. Our preliminary review of the material submitted for your
proposed mechanical and utility subcontractor, Southern
Mechanical Plumbing, Inc., has raised several questions as to
their experience and possible ability to unde~takc ~ project of
this magnitude.
The work experience submitted does not indicate any pump station
projects which deal with equipment of the size or complexity
proposed for this project. The utility work experience does not
indicate any history of working with 36" or 48" pipe which will
be used on a considerable portion of this project. Additionally,
Southern Mechanical Plumbing, Inc. appears to have never
undertaken a project of this magnitude.
If you feel our evaluation is incorrect and wish to provide
additional information which you feel will better demonstrate
their qualifications, we will be happy to review it. If such
additional information is not available, then in accordance with
Section 00100, Paragraph 1.13 (A) of the Specifications, we
request that you submit another mechanical and utility
subcontractor for consideration on this project.
