Dear Mr. Miller:

The City of Coppell does not assume maintenance responsibility
for floodways on private property. Maintenance of channels is
the responsibility of the property owner and /or the developer.
However, the City does retain the right to enter the property and
perform such work as deemed necessary.
It is the City of Coppell's policy to maintain drainage areas
within its rights -of- -ways from allocated funds authorized by the
City Council of the City of Coppell. Depending on budgetary
resources, reasonable maintenance and care is performed. Thus is
the case with regard to Denton Tap Road at Grapevine Creek.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to call me at
(214) 462 -8495.
ncere ,
