Gilmore Texas Department of Transportation 4777 E Highway 80 Mesquite,Texas 75150-6643 RE: State Highway 121; CSJ 0364-02-017 Dear Mr. Gilmore: This letter is regarding the relocation of a city owned infrastructure within the right of way of SH 121between FM2499 and Denton Creek. The city currently has a 12" water line and appurtenances located along the southeast side of the highway between Sandy Lake Road and Denton Creek. To our knowledge we have no other infrastructure located within the SH 121 right of way that would be in conflict with the proposed widening. The city is currently under contract with the firm of Teague, Nall, and Perkins, Inc. (TNP) for the design of these relocations. TNP is currently conducting field survey in areas where TxDOT has acquired the necessary right of way for the project. TNP will need approximately four months to complete the necessary design and produce construction drawings. Once our construction documents are complete we will submit for a permit from TxDOT, and begin the bidding process. We expect this process to take approximately 45 days. We could be in a position to begin our relocations as early as October 2013, with construction lasting approximately four months. If TxDOT has secured all the necessary right of way on the southeast side of the highway by October 2013, we should be clear of the project by the end of January 2014. If the right of way is not acquired by October 2013, the City of Coppell will need 5 months from the date of acquisition for bidding and construction to complete our relocations.
