Dear Mr. Doyle:
This is to confirm our conversation of October 14, 1988 regarding the
placement of the above referenced project on the November 8, 1988 City Council
agenda. Bids will be received for the Pumps and Motors and the construction
of the pump station on October 27, 1988 at 10:00 A.M.
It is our intention to evaluate the bids and forward our recommendations to
the City on or before Wednesday. November 3rd. If you so desire, we will be
available for a meetino with you. Mr. Ratliff. and.."or Mr. Trando to discuss
the agenda item(s) on either November 3rd or 41h.
Two agenda items will be needed. Tl~e first item will be to consider bids
received for the three (3) pumps and motors and assignment ol' the successful
pump bid to the successful contractor for the Village Parkway Pump Station.
The seoond item will be for the consideration of bids. selection of the
suocessful contractor, and authorization for the Mayor to sign contracts for
the construction of the pump station.
We appreciate your help in expediting this project to the construction phase.

The bid opening for this project will be delayed until Tuesday,
November 1, 1988 at 10:00 A.M. in the Coppell Town Center, 255
Parkway Blvd., Coppell, Texas.
DRAWING E-5; PLAN VIEW - POWER AND CONTROL
Add the following note:
1. Add two (2) 1 inch spare conduits from center section
of 208 V Motor Control Center to handhole immediately
outside south wall of pump station. Add two (2) 1 inch
spare instrument conduits from instrument panel to same
handhole.
DRAWING E-6; LIGHTING AND MISCELLANEOUS
Add the following note:
1. Add one (1) 3/4 inch underground conduit with 3-#12,
#12 ground from the nearest outside receptacle to each
heat trace thermostat included in Addendum #1.
DRAWING OP-1,2,3,4,5: OFFSITE WATERLINES
Add the following note to each sheet:
1. Ail steel encasement for waterlines shall API 5L, Grade
B line pipe (mill reject pipe is acceptable), minimum
0.250" wall thickness, of the nominal diameter
indicated on the plans. The exterior and interior of
all steel encasement pipe shall be coated with a
minimum of 1.0 mils of bituminous coating.

SECTION 00470 - BREAKDOWN OF ESTIMATED COSTS
This section will not be required for submission with the Bids
for this Project. Ail Contractors submitting proposals on this
project will be required to submit this section to the office of
the Engineer within 24 hours of bid opening. Ail totals by
Division must agree with the Summary Breakdown of Estimated Costs
which is to be submitted with each Proposal.
SECTION 00470-A - SUMMARY BREAKDOWN OF ESTIMATED COSTS
This section is being issued and must be submitted with the
executed proposal forms. The Total must agree with the amount
listed in the proposal form for this project.
SECTION 00830 - SPECIFIC PROJECT REOUIREMENTS
Add the following PARAGRAPH 1.19, WAGE RATES:
1.19 WAGE RATES
Ail employees directly employed on this project by the
Contractor or his sub-contractors shall be paid the
Prevailing Wage Scale for work of a similar character in the
locality, and in no event less than the minimum rates per
hour specified in Appendix B. The wage rates applicable to
the work called for are the minimum to be paid to the
various classes of labor and crafts. The Contractor is at
liberty to pay any amount over and above the rates called
for herein.
The rates contained in Appendix B have not been formally
adopted by the City of Coppell. It is anticipated that
these rates will be adopted prior to the award of this
contract. Should the adopted rates vary from the rates
contained in Appendix B, appropriate compensation will be
negotiated with the Successful Contractor.

following:
6. The provisions of SECTION 01360, GENERAL EQUIPMENT
STIPULATIONS, PARAGRAPH 2.01, (F) shall not apply
to these motors.
