Dear Mr. Bush:
Enclosed is one set of shop drawings from your September 23, 1988
~ ,submittal with our comments noted on the plans. We wish to note
· ~l~' /that the Contract Specifications will supersede the Preload
~i~ / ~onstruction Specifications and Procedures when in conflict.
F~~ditionally, your request for a contract time extens~o~ ha~ been
~ duly noted. Since this project is still in the initial s~ages,
/ we are hesitant to recommend approval of such a request at this
time. One of the major factors which will be used in evaluating
"substantial completion" of the project will be the ability of
the tank to be placed in service. Incidental items of
construction past the contract completion date usually do not
present any problems. We will hold this request in abeyance
until closer to the contract completion date.

Gentlemen:
Enclosed here~n is proposed construction schedule for the referenced
project.
As is shown on the schedule, we estimate the tank structure will be
completed and ready for water on July 14, 1989. After testing, the structure
could be put into service.
Please note that completion of all site work etc., does not take place
until September 8, 1989 which is one month later than the published contract
completion date of August 8, 1989.
We, therefore, respectfully request a favorable approval of extended
time necessary to complete the site work as shown on the schedule, again calling
to your attention that the tank will be ready to receive water on July 14,
1989.
