Dear Sirs:
Per your request, we have inspected the gravity stone retaining walls at the above-referenced
locations to verify their agreement with the earlier provided construction details. The walls were
constructed and backfilled prior to our inspection.
Our field measurements indicate that the width at the base of the walls, in relation to their height, is
in compliance with our specifications. Our measurements were based on depth of weep pipes
exposed to determine the thickness of the wall at the base.
It has been reported by the builder that the wall was backfilled with gravel per our drawings and
thus provisions have been made for the release of hydrostatic pressure buildup behind the walls.
Perpendicular PVC drain outlets have been installed along the bottom of the walls.
