Comments: 6/16/09 — I sent the City of Coppell and Teague Nall and Perkins notice letters by
registered mail with return receipt.
6/22/09 — Requested Title Insurance
7/1/09 — Received Title Commitment.
7/27/09 — Notice Letter returned unclaimed.
7/31/09 — Called and number is no longer a working number.
8/3/09 — Mailed second notice letter to property address by regular mail.
8/18/09 — Second notice letter returned.
8/24/09 — Mailed third Notice Letter; sending it regular mail to 132 Dickens Drive, Coppell. I sent
second Notice Letter to that address but I sent it certified mail. I have tried two phone numbers
from the water department in Coppell. One was not a working number and the other one was a
business in Carrollton.
8/25/09 — Received a new phone number for Mr. Pier (214- 801 -2445) from Keith from the City.
8/25/09 — Called Mr. Pier at 4:40pm and left a detailed message about the widening of Sandy Lake
Road and needing to set a time with him to present the City's offer for his property. Mr. Pier
called and we will try to meet tomorrow afternoon. I will call tomorrow morning to verify the
time.
8/26/09 — Met with Mr. Pier at his place of business on Freeport Blvd. in Coppell and presented
him the City's offer for his property needed for the Sandy Lake Road Project. We discussed his
fence replacement. He said he would make a counter offer but it may take up to thirty days before
he could submit it to me. We also discussed all the trees he would be losing. He asks if the City
would do some type of tree replacement for his remaining property. I told him I would find out for
him.
I told him I would get back with him around the 1.5 of September if he hasn't contacted me. He
wanted me to provide him copies of the Plan and Profile sheets for his area and also the typical
section for the new roadway. I told him I would email him these documents.
9/25/09 — I sent an email to check on his counter offer. I received a call from Mrs. Joyce Phillips
she is an attorney with Friedman and Feiger LLP representing Mr. Pier. She will call next Tuesday
to set a time for us to meet.
