At noon on last Friday the 28 my wife and I completed the closing at Allegiance Title
expecting to walk away that day with more than a binder of closing documents. Today
Karen advised me that due to the City using paper checks and Allegiance requiring the
City’s check to clear their bank, it is now estimated that we will receive our funds on

Friday the 4.
As I told Karen, this is the first closing I’ve been to where I have had to wait 7 days for
our funds. Hopefully this is not the City’s SOP. And hopefully, by this written word, the
City will re-evaluate their procedures so that when the citizen gives without haste, he gets
in return without haste.

Since US Bank is requiring us to pay down our mortgage by $40,000 can y'all
cut a check to them for that amount or does the full amount have to be in

We don't have a specific time set for closing. If she can come by at 12:00
and sign the paperwork that would be great. It will only take a minute, as
there are only a couple of documents.

Thanks Karen. Before I put in the request for a check, there were some
charges that Mr. Mills incurred in order to secure the partial release from
the mortgage company. Has he sent that documentation to you?
The city has agreed to reimburse those expenses at closing, and it would be
easiest for me if it was all reflected on this form so I could request one
check for the total amount.
