Dear Sirs:
I am writing this letter to inform you of potential problems and my concern with
the storm drainage that is being constructed at the Dry Clean Super Center located at 458
S. Denton Tap Road. My concern relates to the fact that the drainage as planned now for
the entire width and length of the fire lane at the referenced address is directed southward
onto the firelane on my property at 495 S. Denton Tap. The increased water fi.om the
referenced lot as well as some water fi.om the Kwik Kar will cause a potentially serious
erosion problem behind the curb on the southern end of my property. I suspect that I may
have an erosion problem on the southern end of my lot in heavy rainstorms due to the
water from my portion of the firelane only and any additional quantity of water will
compound this problem greatly. It is my understanding that legally one person's property
cannot drain onto adjacent property, but rather must drain directly into some form of
public drainage or easement. Furthermore, it is my understanding that the engineering
plans for 458 S. Denton Tap Rd. submitted to the city for approval show the most
northerly 100 feet of firelane in the referenced property to be draining to the west and into
the creek.
I would appreciate your very prompt attention to this matter because the form
boards are in, the leveling sand has been graded and the steel for the concrete is in place.
This matter will be much more easily solved now than in the future. I wll make myself
