RE: Project#DR12-01 Creekview Dr. Retaining Wall & Roadway Improvements
Notification of Construction
Dear Property/Business Owner:
At the May 28, 2013 City Council meeting a contract was awarded to The Fain Group to
make roadway improvements along portions of Creekview Drive in the area of Cottonwood
Creek. The project will include the reconstruction of a portion of the roadway between S.
Royal Lane and Freeport Parkway (approximately 450 feet). The road is currently a 4-lane
undivided concrete roadway and will be reconstructed as such. Sidewalks will be
reconstructed along both sides of the roadway. The construction will also include the
replacement of an existing retaining wall on the south right-of-way line. Various utility
improvements and relocations will be required within the project limits and a new 300-foot
long, 24-foot tall gabion wall will be constructed along the adjacent creek.
Due to the nature of the gabion work and road reconstruction, Creekview Drive will be closed
from the Tennis Center driveway to the first driveway to the west. Access to businesses will
be maintained during the course of the project and traffic advisory signage will be posted for
added safety. An exhibit showing the project limits is enclosed with this letter.
