The or-i.yi_na1. creek meanders along the existing channel and
i.nt er.sects the channel at various points in the area. There is
fi..ow in the channel, but no flow in Denton Creek. The creek is
osse.nt:ial.ly out of water flow in this area and appears to only be
rece:i-vinq flow during periods of precipitation and increased flow
cont:ro_l. from Gr pevine Reservoir.
'llie construction activity associated with the northern extension of
HacArthur Boulevard appears not to have been a factor in this
mat ter.-. Several months ago staff reported to you that Denton Creek
was not f low.inq due to diversion of flow caused by the construction
(A. MacArthur Boilevard. After personally inspecting the area, it
is my opinion t nat this was riot the case.
111 staff's opin ion, Grapevine Creek will not see any water flow
uii1 Prs one of tlne two situations as outlined above in paragraph #2
