RE: Transit Plan
Dear Mr. Fegan:
Recently Mayor Candy Sheehan and I attended a meeting at COG regarding transit plans for DFW
International Airport. We came away very impressed with the level of detail that the Airport staff and
your respective consultants are reviewing in order to maximize your transit opportunities at the Airport.
We realize that transit planning throughout the Metroplex has grown in importance due not only to air
quality, but traffic congestion and convenience for our residents as well as business and pleasure
travelers.
Suffice to say we have great interest in the transit planning activities at DFW Airport, and would like to
be kept apprised of the transit planning process as it develops. Of particular interest to us, of course,is
any activity along either 635 or 114 to the south of Coppell. Transit planning in this area will impact
Coppell,in particular service to our industrial area, as well as the Airport property north of 635 which is
of mutual interest to both of our organizations. Please keep us apprised of the planning efforts of DFW
Airport in this area, and of any key public meetings that we may attend to provide input into this process.
We look forward to working with DFW in this area and many others. If there is a need for further
information regarding our interest, please do not hesitate to contact me.
