I received the attached email requesting a change to our active anchor detail. Ark has asked if we would
allow them to use concrete in the unbonded length of the active anchors instead of the non - shrink
grout. We have no problem with changing the detail as marked up by Ark. Please let me know if you

Pursuant to our conversation this morning please find attached the Tieback Anchor Grout RFI Detail for your approval. We
would like to install the specified 5000 PSI non shrink grout in the bonded zone of the tieback anchors. The non shrink grout
would extend over the end of the 3 inch PVC pipe sleeve 12 inches to seal the unbounded tieback zone. Grease would be
installed inside the 3 inch PVC pipe in the unbounded zone as specified. The void between the 10 inch drilled shaft and the 3
inch PVC sleeve would be filled with ready -mix concrete.
