Re: Resident Permit Parking on Leisure Lane and Leisure Court
Dear Resident:
The City of Coppell has been informed of an on-street parking issue within the Summer Place
subdivision. It is understood that some of the parking problems stem from students attending the
High School. Discussions have been held with residents and with the Police Department to try to
reduce the effect of this problem parking on the neighborhood.
It has been requested that we create a "resident only" parking zone within the subdivision. At
this time, while the parking problem is currently on Leisure Lane, the Engineering Department
believes that both Leisure Lane and Leisure Court should be included in this resident parking
only zone. Currently we have a few streets in town that require permits to be able to park on the
street, (i.e. Copperstone Trail). For further details please see Article 8-7. — Residential Permit

The Engineering Department has received positive input from both the Police Department and
Fire Department to allow the residential permit parking only.
The typical process for permit parking is to survey the residents that live directly along the street
where the zone would occur. We need positive responses from 75% of surveyed households to
approve the creation of the zone.
To provide us a better understanding of your preference in the matter, please check one of the
boxes on the attached survey form and return it to our office by September 6, 2013. If you have
